Sidecar. The buddy your motorcycle may be looking for
->
What can adding a sidecar to your bike do for you? Versatility can be a huge reason for adding a sidecar. By adding a sidecar you can greatly increase the performance of your motorcycle.
Sidecars come in a variety of sizes and fashions; all sidecars consist of a small car with a wheel that attaches to the motorcycle. These are commonly referred to as tricycles or trikes.
They can offer a means of extra transportation by allowing another passenger to ride along with you.
Some countries such as Asian countries, view owning a motorcycle as a social status and a wise investment as many use them for taxi services and a way to earn a living.
Some law enforcement agencies employ the use of sidecars to easily maneuver and navigate through crowded sectors and yet offer the ability to have an additional law enforcement officer on board.
Like most accessories for motorcycles, sidecars can be customized and modified to suit the individual and the motorcycle. They are even making their way into the motor-sport industry. Although tricycles are not as fast as their two-wheeled relatives, they can offer a lot more to the driver, even if it is extra storage and load carrying.
If speed is not the only thing you are looking for performance wise from your motorcycle, you may want to consider adding the sidecar and watching your investment grow.
Some people find a way to make a little extra income simply by using their sidecar as a delivery service and much easier on the wallet and the gas pump than a traditional vehicle.
They can also be a great alternative for those looking for a more comfortable ride than a back of a bike for those long country rides.

I like this idea and would like to recommend safety training for those who decide to take on a motorcycle with or without the sidecar. Motorcycles/sidecar motorcycles/trikes all have their own operating characteristics, very different from a car or truck. Also, and not to be critical in a bad way, I would like to point out that Trikes and sidecars bikes are two different vehicles. Trikes have two rear drive wheels on one axle and are that way - fixed. Sidecars have a third wheel on the car itself and it is usually not a drivewheel, operation offset of the rear motorcycle wheel independently.
